Eyob Giday, the editor-in-chief of the oldest Ethiopian press organization, Al-Alem newspaper, has passed away.
Journalist Eyob Giday had a long and distinguished career at Al-Alem newspaper, which is published in Arabic language under the Ethiopian Press Agency.
He worked hard and diligently in various positions for many years before becoming editor-in-chief, a role he held until his passing.
Eyob was a respected veteran journalist who was known for his dedication to his profession.
According to EPA, he was able to publish various articles protecting the interests and honor of his country in newspapers and websites of the Arab world.
EPA indiated that it learned from his family his sudden passing away this morning.
He was married and the father of two children.
