The U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) has invested more than $3 billion to support the fight against HIV/AIDS in Ethiopia, according to the U.S. Embassy in Addis Ababa.
Today, PEPFAR’s efforts provide lifesaving antiretroviral treatment (ART) for over 456,361 Ethiopians, including 12,696 children.
This represents a significant portion of the treatment offered nationally, accounting for 98% of ART available at over 1,000 sites across the country
