Mekelle, Ethiopia – The Cabinet of the Tigray Interim Administration released a statement today condemning the Amhara Region for including Tigrayan
land on its official maps and incorporating it into its school curriculum.

The statement calls the Amhara administration’s actions “irresponsible” and accuses them of attempting to derail the peace process established by the Pretoria Agreement. It further criticizes the Ethiopian federal government for failing to intervene and rectify the situation.

The Tigray Interim Administration urges the Amhara people and Ethiopians at large to stand against these alleged injustices.

The statement concludes with a stark warning, holding the Amhara Region fully responsible for any future consequences.
