Tigray, Ethiopia – Residents of Korum and Ofla districts in the Tigray region have accused Tigrayan militants of human rights abuses, including abductions and beatings.

The accusations come after Tigrayan forces recently captured Korum city and Ofla district.

Residents claim these acts violate their fundamental rights, voa reported.

However, the Tigrayan administration, led by Haftu Kiros, head of the southern Tigray zone, vehemently denies these claims, calling them “far from the truth and baseless.”

They further assert collaboration with relevant federal bodies to prevent humanitarian violations.

Adding another layer to the situation, the Amhara National Movement (ANM) party issued a statement accusing the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) militants of violence in Raya districts and Alamata city, including killings, displacement, and looting.
