Hargeisa, Somaliland – The Government of the Republic of Somaliland today expressed its deep regret and strong condemnation following the killing of Mr. Abdinassir Muse Dahable, a young Somalilander and aviation expert working in Mogadishu, Somalia.
“The government unequivocally condemns this senseless act of violence,” stated [Minister name], Minister of [Ministry name]. “We urge the authorities in Mogadishu to conduct a thorough and independent investigation to bring the perpetrators to justice.”
The statement further expressed concern that Mr. Dahable’s killing may be linked to the ongoing airspace dispute between Somaliland and Somalia. “We call upon the administration in Mogadishu to respect international airspace conventions and refrain from further weaponization,” it read.
The government also urged Somaliland citizens residing in Mogadishu to remain vigilant and report any incidents of incitement or violence targeting Somalilanders.
