A delegation of senior leaders, including Gambella Region Governor Umod Ujulu, arrived in Kebridehar today to kick off a series of public discussion forums across the Somali Region.
Warmly welcomed by regional and local officials, the leaders aim to engage communities in open dialogue on themes of national unity, lasting peace, and shared prosperity.
Public forums will be held in four major cities – Jigjiga, Deghabur, Kebridahar, and Gode – with discussions planned in 20 additional locations throughout the region. The overarching theme, “United national brotherhood and sisterhood for lasting peace and universal prosperity,” underscores the event’s focus on strengthening national unity and addressing challenges through collaborative dialogue.
This initiative is seen as a vital step in furthering the “universal national victory journey” currently underway, fostering cooperation and mutual understanding as the region navigates its path forward
