Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – The Prosperity Party and the TPLF have reached a consensus to jointly prevent and control conflict in the region, according to a report by the Ethiopian Press Agency (EPA).
This agreement comes after the third party-to-party political dialogue held in Mekele today. Both parties pledged to work together to ensure lasting peace and resolve any issues through peaceful means and dialogue.
Additionally, they agreed to support communication efforts that promote peace and refrain from speeches or content that could incite conflict.
The recent incident of conflict in Raya was also discussed, with both parties acknowledging that it should not have happened and undermines the ongoing peace process.
The Prosperity Party and TPLF also agreed to discuss other agenda items to create a favorable political environment for the successful implementation of the Pretoria Peace Agreement.
