Addis Abab, Ethiopia – Residents across Oromia, Ethiopia’s largest region, participated in peaceful demonstrations today under the unifying slogan “We will stand guard for our peace, and we will strengthen the change!”
The rallies, which saw participation from government officials and various sections of society, displayed a strong sense of community and a commitment to continued progress.
Demonstrators in cities like Adama, Robe, Jimma, and Negele Borana carried messages emphasizing collaboration and national unity.
Slogans like “We will wait for our victory and work together for further success!” and “The common language is the basis for building a strong state!” underscored these themes.
In Sheger city, a public rally specifically focused on celebrating “victories achieved after the change.” Residents highlighted the significance of the date that could be linked to a pivotal event that prevented national fragmentation.
The rally’s central message was the importance of safeguarding the peace achieved and continuing on the path of positive development.
