President Getachew Reda paid tribute to Major General Haylom Araya on the 28th anniversary of his passing,
acknowledging his unique status as a respected figure by both friends and adversaries, leaders and comrades.
“It’s remarkable that Major Genera Haylom Araya serves as an exemplary figure for everyone, regardless of their position or perspective,” President Reda highlighted in his speech.
He emphasized the importance of preserving and sharing the story of Major General Araya, urging everyone who knows it to pass it on to future generations.
President Reda also called for an end to the targeting of comrades and leaders within the Tigray security forces, reiterating the need for peaceful resolutions
