Veteran Kenyan politician Raila Odinga, who has unsuccessfully contested the presidency four times, declared his candidacy for the chair of the African Union Commission (AUC) on Thursday, February 15th, 2024.
Odinga, accompanied by former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo, stated his readiness to serve the continent, highlighting his experience as the AU High Representative for Infrastructure Development from 2018 to 2023.
He expressed confidence in his ability to contribute significantly to the growth and prosperity of Africa.
