Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – The Japanese government has provided 12 vehicles to the Ethiopian National Consultative Commission to aid their national consultation efforts.
Japanese Ambassador to Ethiopia, Shibata Hironori, officially handed over the vehicles to Ethiopian National Consultative Commission Chief Commissioner, Professor Mesfen Araya.
Professor Araya expressed his gratitude for the support, highlighting the importance of collaboration between stakeholders for a successful national consultation.
The vehicles, funded by a Japanese government grant, will reportedly facilitate the commission’s fieldwork across various regions.
Ethiopia is currently preparing for a national consultation process aimed at building consensus on critical national issues.
Ambassador Hironori reaffirmed Japan’s commitment to supporting the commission throughout this process.
