African Union Youth Special Envoy Chido Mpemba said that institutional procedures should be implemented to fully utilize the potential of African youth for the achievement of the 2063 Agenda.
When the Special Envoy made a statement at the African Union; According to the Union’s vision number six, it is necessary to ensure development by the youth. He stated that to ensure this, involving and benefiting the youth should be done with focus.
In relation to peace and security, the member countries of the Union should act to make the youth a part of the peace and a part of the decisions in the efforts to resolve conflicts peacefully.
The special envoy pointed out in a press conference that the greatest challenge facing African youth today is unemployment, and that the union and its member countries should not only work together on this and related issues, but also prove their political commitment.
