Addis Ababa, Fthiopia – The Ethiopian capital basked in the glow of a successful 37th African Union Summit, with State Ministers praising logistical efforts and highlighting key diplomatic achievements.
Ambassador Birtukan Ayano, Chair of the Summit National Committee, commended the seamless security, logistics, and protocol arrangements that ensured a smooth event for participating dignitaries. She lauded the collaborative efforts of stakeholders in facilitating successful Ambassadorial, Ministerial, Leaders, and First Lady gatherings.
Ambassador Mesganu Arga accentuated Ethiopia’s active participation at all levels, championing both Pan-Africanism and crucial continental agendas while securing national interests. He stressed the successful Summit as a testament to Ethiopia’s longstanding contributions to Africa and its role as the AU’s headquarters since its foundation.
Beyond official meetings, Ethiopian delegates held back-to-back bilateral discussions with leaders from Member States and regional/global organizations, advancing national interests and fostering a positive image.
State Ministers reaffirmed Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and Foreign Minister Taye Atske Selassie’s unwavering commitment to education, the core theme of this year’s Summit.
