Addis Ababa – In a momentous development, Ethiopia and Jordan have agreed to join forces and promote their tourism industries together. The agreement was reached during a meeting between Ethiopian Tourism Minister, Ambassador Nasise Chali, and her Jordanian counterpart, Makram Mustafa Queisi.

Highlighting the long-standing ties between the two nations, both ministers acknowledged the immense potential of collaboration in the historical, cultural, and religious spheres. To tap into this potential, they outlined plans to develop coordinated tour and travel packages, allowing tourists to seamlessly experience the unique offerings of both Ethiopia and Jordan.
Building capacity and sharing expertise will be another key pillar of the collaboration. This includes Ethiopia sharing its experiences in successfully registering heritage sites with UNESCO, as commended by Mr. Queisi.
This strategic partnership marks a significant step towards boosting tourism in both countries, offering exciting opportunities for visitors and economic growth.
