Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – Ethiopia’s Chief of General Staff, Field Marshal Berhanu Jula, announced the development of a modernized mechanized force specifically designed for the nation’s needs.


The announcement came during a discussion held at the Awash Arba Battle Technique, focusing on a study aimed at optimizing the efficiency of the mechanized force in various operations. General officers and leaders from all mechanized units attended the event.


Field Marshal Jula emphasized the crucial role mechanized forces play in both independent and combined operations with infantry units. He further highlighted the future-oriented approach being taken in building this new force, ensuring its effectiveness in addressing potential future challenges.


According to information shared on the Defense Army’s social media platforms, participants commended the research conducted by the Defense Research and Development Center, acknowledging its significant contribution to enhancing the performance of mechanized units in future deployments.
