Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – Ethiopia’s healthcare system is set for a significant improvement thanks to a new collaboration between the country’s Health Minister and the UK Ambassador.
This joint effort will focus on several key areas including the partnership aims to ensure Ethiopians have easier access to basic healthcare services.
This includes dedicated funding from the UK to support mothers and children over the next five years and orking together, Ethiopia and the UK will strengthen the country’s ability to prevent and respond to outbreaks.
The collaboration extends beyond immediate needs. The two countries will also work on building stronger healthcare facilities to serve the population, investing in a skilled workforce to deliver quality care ensuring Ethiopians have the equipment and medication they need, exploring the possibility of producing essential medical supplies within Ethiopia and dentifying areas where healthcare investments can create a long-term, sustainable health system.
This partnership between Ethiopia and the UK promises to significantly improve the health and well-being of Ethiopians for years to come.
