Addis Abab, Ethiopib – Ethiopian Athletics Federation President Assistant Commissioner Derartu Tulu urged the younger generation to learn from the historical victory at Adwa and create their own unique stories that propel Ethiopia to greater heights.
Tulu, a national hero herself, highlighted the immense sacrifices made to achieve victory at Adwa and emphasized its significance for every generation of Ethiopians.
She encouraged them to draw inspiration from this legacy and write their own chapters in the nation’s history, upholding its reputation on the world stage.
Tulu stressed the individual responsibility of every Ethiopian, regardless of age or profession, to contribute to the nation’s progress. She emphasized this as a core duty for every patriotic citizen.
Moreover, she called upon the youth to inherit the values of perseverance and patriotism displayed by the Adwa heroes.
This, she believes, will strengthen the nation’s unity and solidarity, vital for continued national development.
Tulu, identifying Adwa’s victory as a shared narrative that transcends generations, urged all Ethiopians to work together in building a brighter future for the country.
