Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia’s oldest and largest institution of higher learning, recognized its top graduates yesterday during their commencement ceremony.
Among the honorees were Dr. Redet Getu and Dr. Michael Azene, who received awards for their outstanding academic achievements.
Dr. Rediet, a graduate of the medical school, was awarded a special recognition for her impressive 3.87 GPA. She stood out as the top female student in her cohort within the medical program.
Dr. Azene, also a medical graduate, earned the highest GPA of the entire graduating class, scoring a remarkable 3.93 and receiving a prestigious gold medal for his academic excellence.
University officials praised both doctors for their dedication, hard work, and commitment to learning.
