In a collaborative effort, the Albasar International Foundation, the Yasin Foundation, and the Tigray Health Bureau are offering free eye surgery to 1,000 individuals in need within the region.

The first phase of the  initiative, which kicked off yesterday, February 14th, targets Adigrat and will continue until February 18th. The second phase will then move to Aksum, offering the same services from February 21st to 25th.

Dr. Kokob Hagos, Eye Treatment Coordinator at the Tigray Health Bureau, confirmed the details and scope of the project. “This joint effort will provide crucial eye care to 1,000 individuals who might not otherwise have access to these services,” Dr. Hagos stated.

This initiative highlights the importance of collaboration in addressing healthcare needs within communities. By joining forces, these organizations can make a significant impact on the lives of many individuals in Tigray
